Monique created her first product in 2013 whilst in the midst of a traumatic period in her life. She needed to find an inner strength to get her through very personal and stressful many years. Sleep was a huge issue during this difficult time.
As a practising beauty therapist turned to what she knew best, her oils, to develop her very own bespoke blend. Monique became inspired by the results she gained from her oils. She believed she could really help women. She also explored meditation and mindfulness and began her yoga journey which influenced her when formulating her bespoke blend.
It was the combination of this which lead to her inner peace slowly returning and to a new journey beginning. She wanted to share the benefits of her products, treatments, and inspire other women to increased wellbeing.
Monique is based in Staffordshire at The Hart Spa and uses her bespoke blend within her treatment rooms. Healing hands coupled with her experience has earned her a dedicated following. Amongst her many loyal clients and friends it became apparent they also suffered from lack of sleep and stress, it was a huge issue not only for her. She wanted to help women.
Inspiration came from her Grandad’s beautiful walled garden and woodlands where she came across the bleeding heart plant.
Joie De Vivre
Monique has now started an exciting new chapter in her life. The arrival of her beloved daughter in 2017 marked a new beginning and journey towards happiness. This joyful journey is conveyed through her new product range “Joie de Vivre”, French for joy of living.
Experts at the Garden Centre assisted Monique to learn more about the flowers and plants and how they can be utilized within her products.
ABOUT MONIQUE
Born in America, Monique Hart moved to the UK at the age of 12. Looking back she has always had an interest in both treatments and business and remembers charging her parents $1 for a hand massage as a child.
It was whilst studying for her business degree at Oxford Brookes her first business opportunity came along in the form of a shop and despite not being a therapist she was drawn to open a beauty and hair salon, so whilst in the final year of her degree she not only opened her new business but also gained a beauty therapy qualification.
After a successful 5 years in business, a very traumatic personal period started in Monique’s life, which lead to her sadly closing the salon. She needed to find the inner strength to get her through this very personal and stressful time so, as a practicing beauty therapist turned to what she knew best, her oils, to develop her very own bespoke blend. Inspired when she came across a Bleeding Heart plant in her grandad’s beautiful walled garden and woodland Monique started learning from experts at the garden centre who advised on the benefits of the natural plants, and started to blend her own products. Sleep was a huge issue during this difficult time and alongside her oils Monique became inspired by the results she gained from meditation and mindfulness and began her yoga journey. The amazing results from the blends had to be shared so Monique started a 2 year project creating her own branded range of products and the launch of a new spa, set in the very grounds of the garden centre.
Monique has a wealth of experience she brings to The Hart Spa and Monique Hart products. A highly qualified skin practitioner with a NVQ level 3 in beauty therapy and a BA Hons degree. She specialises in Dermalogica and Crystal Clear facials and has further expertise in advanced aesthetics which she combines with her holistic therapy qualifications. Providing a unique individual personalised service is key to everything Monique does and she continues to develop her skills and knowledge to offer the very best to her clients.
A true ambassador for the spa industry Monique gets involved with a variety of activities outside of the spa. Attending at events such as V-Festival offering treatments to the stars backstage and working with Lava Shells carrying out treatments on tour with The Saturdays and numerous bands backstage for The Big Reunion tour. She is also proud to have been profiled in trade press, Professional Beauty Magazine.
